A few little tidbits.....

  • Kennedy was asking about day care today and I told her what it was.  She said, "those kids don't get to see their parents very much."  I told her that on the weekends, evenings, etc.  Then I explained that when we just had her and she was a baby that she went to day care.  I told her but now I am able to stay at home and she said,"Yeah, like the good old days."  I don't really know what it meant, but it sure was cute!!
  • Here is a picture of the kids Tebowing.  wow, tony.
  • Today at gymnastics they had a football theme for the superbowl.  Carter was in heaven.  He got to kick a football through the uprights and throw it and finally tackling.  Here is the video.  As you can see in the video they had MN Vikings jersey's on.  Kennedy said, "oh look, K-state."

  • They asked Kennedy's group what a field goal was and she was the only one in the group of 10 (boys and girls) that could explain what it was.  Tony was so proud.  Of course it isn't saying much since she would have no idea what any hockey terms would be.  Maybe she has an unfair advantage!!  :)

A few quotes...

Yesterday...I asked Carter who he plays with at school and he said all of the boys names.  I asked him if he plays with any of the girls and he said no.  I asked why and he said, "Because they are sneaky."  I couldn't help but laugh and then he said, "I play with the boys. Not the girls.  Boys Rule!"  Way to go, Dad!!

Today...We are watching a little TV before nap and a commercial comes on.  I'm not really paying attention until Carter says, "I don't like cold beer."  I just looked at him and he started laughing and said, "what?"  How long do you think that will last?  :)  Until 21, I hope!!!

Relaxing with Dad..

Finally...a little smile!  :)

Yesterday was Wacky Wednesday at school.  That also means you pose like a creeper.

The high today was 16.  Tuesday we had a picnic lunch at the park!  Needless to say we stayed inside today!

Set-up the entire train track and they made both Thomas' go in a circle around 1.

Kennedy, "stop looking at the camera, Carter." Thus ending the wonderful sibling time! :)

He loves his trains!  Thanks Porter for the new set!!!  That is what he bought with his gift card for Christmas from my Brother, Brian, and his family!

"Why are you taking my picture"

Too cute?  Maybe...just maybe...

As you can see I made a few updates to the blog.  New Year, New Look!  I really don't have anything to update you on, but Carter said something funny so I thought I would share.

I cut my thumb and I have a bandaid on it. He hates bandaids.

Mom: "Oh you are so cute, I could just eat you you up!!!"
Carter: "I think I can eat you like a samwich(sandwich)....except your fumb(thumb)."  With a totally disgusted look on his face!!!

Gotta love the honesty!

Happy New Year!!!!
As you can imagine, we didn't have the wild party we are use to on New Year's Eve.  :)  We watched a movie, got pizza and toasted to a new year.  This year more than usual we realized that New Year's Eve doeesn't have to be about sparkly outfits and champagne (although I do love that!), but about being with the ones you love most!  Hope this finds you with your loved ones and here's to a happy and healthy 2012!!!

Having "fancy" drinks of gingergale to toast!  :)

So happy about the fancy drinks!

Yes.  I made the hats and yes, they are dorky...I know.

It started snowing at about 7:30.  We went on the deck and Tony captured us throwing our glitter in honor of New Years!

Happy New Year!!!
Ice Skating!!

Friday we went and got ice skates.  Everyone got them!  Kennedy and Carter were so excited and I have to admit, I was a little giddy myself!
There are our skates...

Tony getting his skates ready.

All of our stuff ready by the basement door, to walk out and skate!!

We had to bring a chair out to the lake so we could put our skates on!

We got the orange "walker" to help with balance.  Kennedy had a little trouble a first, but by the end of the day she was skating on her own.  Carter could use the walker and let go of it.  He was hesitant at first, but then could stand up by himself.  He was so excited!!!!

Tony was following Kennedy ice skating.  Hope it doens't make you motion sick!!
Tony showing his "skills"!
