Happy Birthday, Carter!

4 years.

2 days.

It is hard to think of how fast time goes by.  It seems hard to believe that this little guy stole our hears 4 years ago.  We are so lucky and blessed to have such a kind and sweet little boy!  We love you, Carter!!!

We have an amazing babysitter who couldn't be at Carter's birthday SO she took him swimming (her apt has an indoor pool) and to Chuckie Cheese.  I asked Carter how his day was and he said, "It was a awesome day!"  We took him to Chili's (his choice) and they brought dessert and sang.  He received a batman costume for his birthday and has pretty much worn it since he got it.  Here he is going to bed for the first time as a four-year-old.

Carter's 4th Birthday "Par-tee"

A few treats..

Birthday cake

The kids made golf visors.

Downstairs we had a goofy golf course set up.

Party Time!!!

Kennedy and a friend decorating their golf visors.

The boys hanging out.

"Closest to the Pin" Similar to pin the tail on the donkey only golf style.

Carter made a hole in one and was VERY happy!

Daddy helping big sister!

Longest put contest.

Kennedy was a pro!!

Goofy golf got a little crazy...

We had "club" sandwiches and peanut "putter" sandwiches for lunch.  If you know Carter at all, you know that he takes forever to eat.  ALL of the kids were finished and Carter was still sitting there.  He obviously didn't care.

Cake time!

opening presents.

Carter had a great birthday party.  We had about 10 kids there, mostly boys.  I was very glad for all of the help!

Fun time!!!

The last few weekends have been so great!  Tony has been able to golf and the kids and I have had so many fun escapades!  Dance Clinic, pet expo, children's museum and pumpkin patch.  However the 2 best events I didn't even mention yet!

Instead of kids selling junk that you don't want for school fundraisers, Kennedy's school does a fun run.  You pledge whatever amount you want and the kids run basically around the school.  Each class races.  Kennedy had an awesome time and it gets the whole school out for a fun day.  Last year, everyone wore shorts because it was so hot.  This year the temperature was about 55.  Carter and I volunteered and handed out popsicles and bottled water.  The kids loved it.  Here are a few pics of Kennedy's class.

where's kennedy?  She is in the white jacket behind the little girl in the green hat.

Here is the picture the teacher took.  Alot of parents showed up to cheer the kids on as they run through the finish line. The kids and I are in the front left side.  Carter is sitting on my lap in the yellow vest.

Lastly, Tony played in a golf tourney this past weekend.  The format is like the Ryder cup.  Here is a picture of the trophy.

Just to brag a little bit, on Sunday they picked Tony to anchor the tourney because he has been playing so well and it came down to him!  He was the final pairing and if he won, they won, if he lost they tied and would have gone to a play off.  Anyway, as you can see below, HE WON!!!!  It is so exciting!!!  Here is the picture of Tony's teammate (our neighbor and friend), Tom Young.  Unfortunately the trophy stays at the club.  But we do get it at our house for 1 week.  :)

Yesterday we hit the pumpkin patch.  The kids and I had a great time!

They had over 150 acres of pumpkins.  It was a little bit overwhelming! at 35 cents a pound, however, it was a great deal!

On a mission!

little pretend train ride!

So cute!!!

real train ride...

They had a really cool pirate ship.  They had corn husks and you could shoot them from a cannon.  The kids loved it!

Friday, the kids were out of school so we thought we would check out the new exhibits at the Children's Museum.

Carter loved the medieval times exhibit.  He was busy in the kitchen!!!

baking bread..

Kennedy made shoes for the horses.

You have to get your face painting.

Look how cute they are!!!!

They have a new rockstar exhibit.  YOu can see yourself on TV.  Or you can dj.  Obviously the kids loved it!
Made a few hats...

And played with bubbles.  Yes that is a gigantic bubble!!

Carter was as impressed as Kennedy was with the whole thing!

Today we went to the Pet Expo.  We saw a few demostrations while we were there.  The trainers asked a few kids to come up and show everyone how to "meet" a dog.  They asked a few questions, which Kennedy knew the correct answer both times, and then they were able to pet the dogs.  Afterwards, they were like celebrities.  Then, everyone knew them at the expo.  It was typical from the my kids.  They had a great time!!!!!

Dance Clinic!
Friday, Kennedy performed with the high school dance team at half time of the football game.  She had a great time and learned alot.  I think she had as much fun just being on the field as she did dancing!

Our friend Miss Roxie is on the dance team and Kennedy was so excited that she was her "buddy."

2 handsome boys watching our girl!

Out they run, Kennedy in the pink hat and pink gloves, that of course, match her shirt perfectly!  :)

a little kick!

A little confused!  :)
