and had an Easter egg hunt....

Easter Party!

Kenendy had a Easter party and it was alot of fun.  They played games at circle time and had an easter egg hunt.  Carter got to participate and Kennedy was a wonderful big sis to help!

Carter hung out with one of Kennedy's classmates twin sisters.  What a ladies man!!!

This is Kennedy's BFF, Kingston.

What a good big sis!!!!

Soccer Time!!

Kennedy did a little soccer camp in April and May. It was 4 Monday's in a row and it was really fun! She was usually on the team that won, however was always upset because she never scored a goal. I'm not sure that will be here sport of choice, but we will see. She can run pretty fast..ok she keeps up with the other kids! :) She isn't very aggressive though, so who knows. Here are a couple pictures of the fun!

Carter watching the action!

My parents came for a visit in April for Matt's jr recital.  Here are a few pics!

Matt and fam at the jr recital.  We are so proud of you Matt!!!!!

Spring Time Part 2

Carter replanting his tomatoes...

Tomatoes from earlier.  They went crazy!!!

Kennedy replanting her flowers.

Hers had a little trouble...maybe should have listened to mom and covered the seeds better.  Don't worry I didn't remind her of that!  :)

Carter looking very excited about his tomatoes!

Kennedy watering..

Kennedy took a pic of Carter and I.

We will keep you posted on the growth of the plants!

Potty Training?

So he tells me he is stinky, but he won't go potty in the toilet or wear big boy underwear.  He isn't waking up dry from nap or in the mornings so I am really not pushing it, but these were too cute to keep to myself!!!

Here is Carter trying to go potty.  He has never gone in the toilet but this time he was yelling, "go pee pee!"  At least he knows what is supposed to happen!!!

Gradient (Tony's company) bought a new jet and the kids were dying to see it. You can see the "G" on the side. Last week we dropped Tony off and the kids were able to get inside.  2 pilots in training!!!!

Oh, Kennedy!

Kennedy has been watning to go swimming.  With the weather being cold one day and hot the next, it is easy to explain that it is Spring and we swim during the summer when it is hot all the time.  Sunday it was about 80 degrees outside.  After having the conversation again about how we are NOT swimming today, I had to run and get a table that someone borrowed from us.  When we pulled up, the little girl who lives there was wearing her swimming suit.  Kennedy of course commented on it immediately and I got out to get the table.  As I was putting it in the back of the car with the help of the mother of swimsuit girl, Kennedy turns around and says, "Excuse me.  Actually it is not time for swimsuits."  I couldn't get the trunk of the Tahoe down fast enough.  This is going to be a great summer!!!!

Bath Time!!!

I had dinner with a friend last night and Tony (and the kids) took it upon themselves to bath Kozmo...in their tub.  Wasn't that so thoughtful!!!!  Who wants to take a bath now?  :)

Today Carter had a check up with the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor to check his tubes.  The right tube is great, but the left tube is out of place and there is fluid in there.  They are going to recheck him in 6 weeks.  Hopefully the tube will fall out and/or the fluid will go away.  If it becomes infected then we will have to do tubes again.  :(  Right now he has a cold and hasn't complained about his ears at all so lets hope that continues.  He got a Woody sticker that made him very happy and Kennedy got a Justin Beiber sticker.  She was very embarrased and said, "Daddy is going to scream!"  We then went to Tony's office to show him and he wasn't happy (only joking) which made Kennedy's day!!  The girls at Tony's office gave them a sucker and on the way home we ate our suckers and listened to the our Kids Bop 19 CD(google it).

Quote of the day: "I have a Justin Beiber sticker, eating a sucker and listening to a Justin Beiber song.  Aren't I just the luckiest little girl in the whole wide world, Mom?"
-Kennedy

SPRING TIME!!!!

We decided to do a little planting today.  Carter is planting tomatoes and Kennedy is planting flowers.  They will grow in these nice little containers until we kill them...I mean until we have delicious tomatoes and beautiful flowers.  I think Kennedy just wanted to do it so she could get new gardening gloves!

Posing with planters...

...dropping in the seeds...

...over the whole project!  Oh and Carter needed to blow his nose.  :)

As if the big boy bed isn't bad enough (I mean we are through with the baby stage) the Binky Fairy came today and took Carter's binky.  He got a Kazoo in its place which Carter loves but I would like to punch the Binky Fairy for that one.  Needless to say he works it perfectly.  Anyway, no more binkys, no more cribs.  Just Tony and I and our BIG kids.  (Insert heavy sigh here.)  :)

The bed has a trundle bed so that is his little step.

Big sis is so proud!!!

Sleeping...

I know it has been a very long time since my last post however something wonderful yet sad(for mama) happened this weekend.  We took out Carter's crib and moved his big boy bed in his room.  He did great!  Yesterday at nap was the first try and he went right to sleep!  Bedtime took a little encouragement from Dad, but he slept all night.  Today at nap was the same thing.  No problem and slept for 2 hours.  He is doing great and thinks he is pretty cool.  I'm a little sad that we no longer have a crib in the house.  Not sad enough to have another baby, but still sad.  :)  They grow up so fast!!!!

My mom brought the kids gingerbread cookies and read the kids the Gingerbread Man story.  The kids loved the story and the cookies!!

Papa reading the newspaper ads to Carter while he sneaks something out of Nona's purse.  :)

Christmas 2010

Kennedy got Carter this magna-doodle and I think it was his favorite gift!!

A little love for sissy!

More Christmas....

Carter got Kennedy a Ken doll.  She was very happy.  Now her Barbies had someone to get married to.  Even though she sometimes says it is their brother...  :)

Thank you Aunty Jill and Uncle Chris for the peanuts characters!!!

Thanks Porter for the Buzz!  Carter loves it!

Nona and Papa enjoying the crazy show!!

Christmas Morning!!

Santa brought Kennedy a Barbie house and Carter (with the help of Papa) got a toolbench.

Kennedy was so excited.  Of course through my tired eyes, I took a very blurry reaction shot, but here is a very happy little girl!

Carter was very happy with the toolbench.

Papa got a hard hat from the construction company that he is working with on the new high school in GC.  He thinks he is very official now! Surprisingly, jk, it fits his large melon head!

Busy, busy!
